On August 8, the forum of “Introducing Manufacturing from China to the World - India, the Second Stop” was hosted by Fibocom in Shenzhen. Hundreds of guests from industry associations, customer representatives, upstream and downstream partners in the industry and news media were invited to the forum.


Inheriting the core subject of the previous session, namely “The One”, this session focused on the thriving market in India, and Pradeep Sreedharan, Vice President of Reliance, which is one of the three major operators in India, was invited to discuss the commercial opportunities in India’s market and the trend of Internet of Things (IoT) in the world with upstream & downstream partners in the industry. Heated exchange sparked extensive discussions among the guests.

Pradeep Sreedharan shared the information on the commercial opportunities from “Digital India” with the attendees and expounded the Application planning of IoT by Unlimit, Reliance’s subsidiary. In addition, he remarked that, Reliance occupied an important position in India’s communication, with its main business covering numerous fields and its market value reaching 30 billion; Reliance played a divisive role in the planning of Digital India, and would continue innovating and establishing an IoT architecture with high connectivity in India or even the globe; with the help of Fibocom, which boasted broad customer base and rich industrial chain resources, Reliance hoped to establish partnership with more Chinese enterprises and attain win-win in braving the tide of IoT globalization.

ZHOU Jin, the Marketing Director of Sanechips, talked about Sanechips’ strategic layout of IoT and remarked that, in light of the massive shipment and huge market of IoT, there were opportunities for the cooperation between Chinese enterprises and international operators; during the fast expanding of the all-IP 4G network, VoLTE was a major barrier to 4G network transformation, while Reliance was the leading company that realized commercial application of VoLTE in the world; Fibocom, as a strategic partner of Sanechips, would also boost the growth of the global IoT industry; Sanechips and Fibocom would jointly launch a full range of modular products to contribute to the commercial development of IoT.


Fibocom Creates Opportunities for Chinese Enterprises to Enter into India’s Market


Brian Qi, the CMO of Fibocom, described how Fibocom had aided Chinese enterprises to enter into India’s market and shared Fibocom’s experience in introducing intelligent manufacturing from China into the world. Besides being the closest market to China, India boasted enormous market demand and considerable commercial opportunities thanks to the support from the long-term strategy of Digital India; and this is an important reason why Fibocom had chosen India’s market as the main subject of this forum. During the last several years, Fibocom has committed to the expansion of global business and explored ways of help customers to speed up globalization. “The One” was a catchword of Fibocom, which did not seek to be so-called Number One solely in size, quality or quantity, but strived to be “The Right One” for customers; and Fibocom could provide the optimal solutions for intelligent manufacturing in China by virtue of its extensive experience and resources. The conference proceeded to hotter phase. At the stage of round-table conference, the guests discussed the opportunities on IoT created by Digital India, the greatest challenge for Chinese enterprises to penetrate overseas market, their views on narrowband communication technology, namely NB-IoT and eMTC, the planning of 5G and the investment for 5G. At the end of the conference, the ceremony for the signing of the letter of intent for cooperation between Fibocom and Reliance was formally held. Fibocom, in together with Reliance, an Indian operator, and Sanechips, launched L710, the first LTE module customized for India. For cost-sensitive India market, the new L710 series of modules were products with high performance price ratio, which catered for Indian locals, and an important bond for Fibocom to establish itself in India’s IoT industry.

Finally, the forum of “Introducing Manufacturing from China to the World - India, the Second Stop” hosted by Fibocom concluded successfully. This forum, on the basis of the results of the exchange and cooperation in the previous session, concentrated more resources from industrial chain partner, promoted the in-depth understanding of partners and long-term strategic cooperation.
