Fibocom has partnered with emerging pet technology company MeeXH Tech to integrate its low-power Cat.M module MQ771-GL into the MeeXH AI Collar, providing reliable and energy-efficient cellular connectivity for location tracking, geofence alerts, and device status updates.
Recently, MeeXH Tech completed a US$1 million angel financing round, and its Collar Max AI pet collar has been introduced to overseas markets.
Whether it is a daily walk, a weekend trip to a park, countryside, or beach, pet owners may still worry when their pets unexpectedly run away or move out of sight.
The MeeXH AI Collar supports four major global satellite navigation systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou), enabling multi-constellation positioning for improved accuracy and reliability. Pet owners can set safe zones and receive timely notifications when pets leave designated areas. With location updates as fast as 3 seconds and historical route playback, users can quickly check their pets’ current locations and movement paths.
The product adopts Bluetooth and cellular dual-mode connectivity. When outside Bluetooth coverage, the MQ771-GL continues transmitting location information, geofence alerts, and device status through cellular networks, helping ensure timely data delivery.
Treating pets as family members also means understanding their daily health and activity patterns.
The MeeXH AI Collar can identify different activity states, including resting, exercising, sleeping, and sniffing. It records activity data such as step counts and generates reports, helping owners better understand their pets’ daily routines.
The MQ771-GL supports mainstream Cat.M and NB-IoT frequency bands worldwide, enabling compatibility with network environments across different countries and regions and providing a reliable connectivity foundation for global market expansion.
A smart collar worn around a pet’s neck every day should provide continuous functionality without interrupting daily life or creating additional burden.
The MQ771-GL supports PSM and eDRX power-saving mechanisms, reducing communication power consumption when data transmission is not required and restoring connectivity when location updates or alerts need to be sent. With PSM power consumption as low as 1.25μA, the module helps extend overall device battery life.
With a compact 17.7mm × 15.8mm × 2.2mm form factor, the module leaves more design space for batteries, positioning components, and sensors.
The MeeXH AI Collar is equipped with a large-capacity lithium-ion battery, providing typical battery life of 7–10 days, reducing interruptions caused by frequent charging.
