Features Of The Latest 3GPP 5G R16-compliant Module – FM160-EAU

As the first 3GPP 5G R16-compliant module to receive an ANATEL certification, FM160-EAU aims to improve 5G network performance for scenarios involving large amounts of data.

3GPP 5G Release 16, the second set of guidelines for 5G New Radio (NR) technology, had launched by the world organization for wireless standards 3GPP, marking an important milestone for 5G. With a focus on improved mobile broadband, Release 15 laid the groundwork for commercial, standards-based 5G NR deployments. Release 16 focuses on improvements for new functionalities and expansion into various industry sectors, including support for unlicensed spectrum, industrial IoT, and automotive applications, as well as integrated access and backhaul.

Recently Fibocom launched FM160-EAU, a CE, GCF, and RCM certified module that can help advance 3GPP 5G Release 16 (R16) features in Europe, Australia, North America, and other regions. The FM160 module series has taken the lead in enabling better 5G FWA connectivity for customers around the world as the global Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) market has steadily expanded. The R16-compliant module FM160, which supports NR Carrier Aggregation (CA), significantly improves the 5G user experience with increased capacity, increased throughput, and expanded coverage. It is the perfect solution for terminals like CPE, STB, IPC, and ODU, among others. In this guide, we will take a deep dive into the specifications of FM160-EAU that will help you understand why you should opt for this 3GPP 5G R16-compliant module. So, keep reading.
